A smart city is a place where the traditional networks and services are all interconnected  in order to provide a seamless urban experience, that will benefit its inhabitants and businesses. The concept combines digital and urban innovations, to develop a more effective and sustainable urban facilities, services and networks. Smart cities also encompasses a more interactive and responsive city administration, safer public spaces and meeting the needs of an ageing population.
